Macro is pleased to welcome DeVon Prioleau, who is joining the firm as Director, as part of Macro’s continued commitment to grow and scale its global high-level end-to-end project and program management platform.
In his role, Prioleau will join Macro’s leaders to further expand its best-in-class team in both the public and private sectors. His longtime industry experience bridges design and real estate development, with his extensive experience in strategic planning, advisory, process management, and technical building expertise. Prioleau also brings a deep expertise in sustainable development, both domestically and internationally, in sectors including hospitality and retail. He is a well-respected industry speaker and a proven leader in managing teams and assignments for projects up to 1.5 million sq. ft.
Michael Glatt, Vice Chairman, North American Head of Project Management of Savills, emphasized Prioleau’s sustainability and real estate development experience as central to the company’s rapid strategic growth, noting that Macro and Savills most recently joined CREtech’s new Climate Tech Initiative as founding sponsors. “As our clients face an even more dynamic, high-pressured real estate environment – and we face important questions on how we can build a sustainable future – clients need detailed, 360-degree, longer-range views of their projects more than ever. DeVon’s experience in design, sustainability, planning, and construction management aligns perfectly with our mission to empower and support our clients as we help them address their current and future challenges.”
Prioleau is looking forward to growing his passion for urban community and mentorship, closely aligned with Macro’s commitment to service; he serves on the boards of the Bronx Community Board #10 and Martin Luther King Multi-Purpose Center, and is active in alumni programs from his alma maters, Cornell University and Harvard University. “I’m looking forward to joining Macro’s extraordinary team and their mission to provide best-in-class project and program management. Macro’s proven ability to ‘see around corners’ and anticipate change has enabled Macro to earn its reputation as industry leaders – and will continue to do so. Equally exciting for me is joining the Macro and Savills team, is being part of their unparalleled culture of learning and enacting positive change in local neighborhoods.”
Prioleau is a LEED Accredited Professional, and is Construction Management, Construction Management and Cost Estimating Certified from NY Real Estate Institute. He was also named a REBNY Coro Fellow Program inaugural class of 2020 – an initiative dedicated to promoting diversity in real estate leadership, building on his work rolling-out high-impact DEI Programming, Education and Mentorship Platforms (in collaboration with the Council of Urban Real Estate, where he’s an executive board member).
