At MACRO, A Savills Company, we believe in our collective social responsibility to support and uplift the communities where we live and work. Above and beyond our day jobs as project management professionals, our team strives to make a difference in the world, setting an example for morally-, ethically-, and socially-responsible citizenship as partners, leaders, and change makers.

As part of the Savills family, our approach to corporate responsibility is marked by a commitment to a range of external initiatives which drive civic engagement and strengthen our links to our communities; grow our team of professionals and company culture; and make an impact through service, philanthropy, and advocacy. Our programs align with Savills’ broader commitment to ESG and the organization’s roadmap towards 9 UN Sustainable Development Goals. The mission is simple:

To ensure that all people are provided with essential care, resources, and knowledge to enjoy a safe, healthy, and equitable future.

This November, we are proud to kick off the 2022 MacroGives Fall Event, a highlight of our annual “give back” campaign. Now in its tenth year, the Fall Event empowers our team to engage in targeted, service-oriented activities and to advocate for a range of important causes.

Through year-round efforts and ongoing participation, team members give back in a variety of meaningful and impactful ways. In previous years, for example, employees have dedicated time and resources to important personal causes, such as environmental sustainability, LGBTQIA+ community programming, senior and youth services, and healthcare, among many others.

This year, we continue our tradition and sharpen our focus on tackling food insecurity and access. With millions of hungry Americans unable to obtain nourishment each day, and billions of pounds of food wasted each year, we remain committed to building a food-secure future for all. In 2022, we are supporting three hunger relief organizations—including Feeding America, No Kid Hungry, and The Hunger Project—among other local and national groups that provide food, shelter, and vital social services. We have also organized a virtual donation drive in support of New York Common Pantry.

“Our mission is more important than ever,” said Michael Glatt, Vice Chairman, North American Head of Project Management at Savills. “The number of US households experiencing food insecurity has only grown in recent years, with a disproportionate impact on marginalized and vulnerable groups. The team’s collective action to uplift the underserved and underrepresented demonstrates a common social responsibility. We are stronger, together.”

As the MacroGives 2022 Fall Event approaches, the team looks forward to organized volunteer events in New York, New Jersey, and Philadelphia, with additional activities in Washington D.C., Boston, Nashville, Atlanta, Central Florida, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and more. The year of giving will close with a virtual company-wide Town Hall, where our efforts and experiences will be widely recognized and celebrated, and featuring a special guest speaker from Move for Hunger.
