Our next “Due Diligence: Getting To Know…” employee spotlight is on: Senior Manager Sabrina Jones in Philadelphia.
Macro: What’s a fun fact most people don’t know about you?
Sabrina: This may be controversial, but I usually read movie, book, and TV spoilers before deciding whether something is worth watching or reading.
Macro: How did your background or studies prepare you for the work you do now?
Sabrina: I studied accounting, which is all about managing the details and analytical problem-solving – critical skills for project management.
Macro: What song is always on your playlist when you need to focus or hype yourself up?
Sabrina: I Love It by Icona Pop or Taylor Swift’s 1989 album. Music peaked in the 2010’s!
Macro: What’s a skill you’ve developed (or are working on) that you didn’t expect would be important in this field?
Sabrina: Leveraging AI and automation for repetitive or redundant tasks. Learning where I can employ technology – and where I can better focus my time – is a skill I’m constantly developing.
Macro: If you weren’t working in this field, what do you think you’d be doing?
Sabrina: Artist! I enjoy painting in my spare time.
Macro: What’s something you’ve learned at Macro that has shifted how you approach your projects or clients?
Sabrina: Working at Macro has underscored the importance of setting and communicating clear expectations — from initial budgeting through project closeout.
Macro: What’s one thing on your bucket list?
Sabrina: I’d love to visit Africa one day.
Macro: How do you define success in your role or in a project?
Sabrina: Client and project team satisfaction. If the client is happy – and my team is happy – that’s when I’d define success.
Macro: What’s something you’ve done that you’re proud of but don’t get to talk about often?
Sabrina: Deciding to move across the country (West to East Coast) to pursue my education at a young age. The experience pushed me outside of my comfort zone and taught me how to be resourceful, self-reliant, and adaptable in unfamiliar environments.
Macro: What’s a piece of professional advice or feedback that stuck with you?
Sabrina: Never be too attached to a specific outcome. Success can be measured in more than one way.
Macro: If you could give one piece of advice to a young professional, what would it be?
Sabrina: Always be a student – listen and ask questions. Approach every challenge as learning opportunity.
