Christopher J. Scala

Senior Director


Christopher J. Scala is a Senior Director at Savills, with more than 30 years of construction management and project leadership experience. Christopher has served as MEPFP and infrastructure director on dozens of projects throughout the New York City area, including over $1 billion of commercial real estate construction. Possessing a deep understanding of all aspects of design, pre-construction and construction, and program management, Christopher has held senior executive roles on mission critical projects across multiple sectors. Equally skilled at managing people, budgets, and field operations, Christopher’s strengths in QA/QC review and implementing best practices ensures a high level of accountability and performance, and he creates successful outcomes by understanding all stakeholders’ views and priorities. His project portfolio includes: ground-up construction and infrastructure modernization for New-York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell; eight laboratory fit-outs and renovations for Columbia University Medical Center; owner’s representation for the LEED Gold Gateway Academic Center at Stevens Institute of Technology; and NYU Langone Health Tisch Hospital Infrastructure Upgrade, which received Engineering News Record’s 2015 Healthcare Project of the Year Award.

Christopher holds memberships to the American Society of Health Care Engineering (ASHE) and National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), and serves on the World Cares Center Construction Committee. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New York and is a Certified Healthcare Constructor. Christopher received his Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Manhattan College.
